Isobelle is a student at Queen Alexandra sixth form college, currently studying History, Sociology and English Literature at A level.
She has lived in North Shields all her life, and is really interested in social history. She believes that it is important to understand the way people lived in the past to understand the present. She’s interested in the way that societies develop and change over time, and what role ordinary people play in this.
By working with this project she hopes that attention is brought to areas of the past that previously weren’t as well known, and is very excited to discover more about her home town.
