Dave is the Charity’s Secretary. A former Procurement Professional, he worked for a major contractor in the construction industry up until his retirement in 2014.
He has a keen interest in the heritage of his home town of North Shields and has researched and held talks and exhibitions on two of its most celebrated artists Victor Noble Rainbird and George Edward Horton. Dave is also a school governor.
The Low Town story is particularly close to his heart as his dad was born there, on Clive Street in 1912. Dave is exhilarated at the prospect of carrying out further research into the history of Low Town and in bringing alive the peoples stories through the work of the North Shields Heritology Project.
