If so, would you be interested in becoming our next Trustee?
We currently have five trustees but would like an additional young trustee to strengthen our technology skill-set.
You would be expected to participate and contribute at 8 Trustee Meetings per year. Involvement over and above that is entirely up to you (e.g. helping out at Memory Cafes, assisting with School Engagement Projects, demonstrating our immersive experiences etc.)*
Our aim is to bring the heritage of the North Shields Fish Quay to life using emerging technology.
While Digital Technology will help us paint a picture of past lives, the real power will lie in the compelling stories we’ll tell of ordinary people living through times of great change. We’ll capture memories from local people and bring them to life using Schoolchildren, Writers, Drama Groups and Musicians in way that is both inspiring and informative.
Using portable Technology we’ll be able to take Heritage out to those who were previously either unengaged or simply unable to visit sites of interest – Care Homes, Libraries, Schools and other Community spaces are all venues capable of hosting Digital Heritage Events – Find out more here.
