Post Lockdown Well-being

Coming out of lockdown and back into ‘normal’ life and living with covid in the community has been difficult for some people.

We ran a Poetry Picnic in the Park yesterday (well church grounds at St Paul’s Whitley Bay to be exact)

Around about 25 people aged 55+ were treated to a picnic and some poems by poet/singer/song-writer/actor Harry Gallagher. Several of the audience joined in with their own readings or poems too.

Here’s Harry’s ode to the brave volunteers of the RNLI

And our Trustee Dave Young couldn’t resist having a turn too – with his reading of Jack Davitt’s poem “The Truth aboot the Waal”
