
Heritage Open Days are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year – and we are delighted to be joining in with the celebrations.
We will be at St Columba’s United Reformed Church in Northumberland Square, North Shields on Saturday 14th September between 10am and 4pm.
Join us for a chat if you’d either like to find out more about what we are doing, or if you have a story you’d like to share with us about what life was like on the North Shields Fish Quay between 1850 and 1980.
Why not ‘Kill two birds with one stone’ (not literally of course) and have a look around the amazing Grade II listed building either before or after you’ve had a chat with us!
Did you know that the Wooden Dolly in Northumberland Square was made by Robert Thompson – the same man that has numerous pieces of furniture with the “famouse” mice carved into them in the church!
