“Inspiring, fun, amazing” just a few of the words used to describe yesterday’s immersive event at Digital Catapult NETV Immersive Lab at PROTO thanks to funding from Venator Bright Ideas Fund and The Hadrian Trust.
Penny Day and Rob Currie (together with a STEM career talk from Justine at Atomhawk – who worked with Marvel on “Guardians of the Galaxy”) captured the imagination of 20 school girls from North Tyneside Learning Trust who we’ve partnered with for a couple of Heritology events.
This was Part 1 – Hands on with Technology, and we just loved how the girls helped each other to get to grips with the tech.
Reasons to be cheerful – Part 2 in a couple of weeks time will be some Heritage + Technology. We’re taking a look at the Wooden Dolly in North Shields and making a 3D model of it.
Reasons to be cheerful – Part 3 will be a “Celebration Event” where we show the girls the end result of their 3D model making and shhhhh don’t tell them but …. we’ll also present them with a few surprises too!
